A Bit of History; Homer's Legacy

Since trapper Davy Jackson discovered the "Hole" over 150 years ago, travelers have stopped to rest and wonder at the spectacular beauty of the Tetons and surrounding area. Homer Richards was such a traveler and homesteaded in Jackson Hole in the early 20's, building the Flame motel in 1954. Touted as a " fire proof resting place with tangy western décor" Homer welcomed guest with open arms. The deco style Flame became the Sundance Inn Jackson's In Town Inn in 1987 when Amy and Casey Morton aquired it rekindling the warmth and spirit of its original owner.
